IIABNY Announces One-of-a-Kind Insurance Trade Event in NYC
Technology to be focus of first NYiDAY
(DeWitt, New
York, Oct. 1, 2014) — The Independent Insurance Agents
& Brokers of New York (IIABNY) today announced that New York City will be
the site of a new, innovative insurance experience. The trade group will host
the first-ever NYiDAY at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in Times Square on
October 28.
The 10-hour
event will feature thought-provoking sessions; continuing education classes;
and a dynamic trade show with hand-picked exhibitors and product demonstrations.
The highlight will be the Insurance Think Tank featuring Lloyd’s North America
President Hank Watkins; Dr. Mark J. Browne, faculty chair of St. John’s University’s
School of Risk Management; and technology expert and entrepreneur Todd Townsend.
An address by popular sports analyst and former National Football League star
Boomer Esiason will follow.
“The very
first NYiDAY will bring hundreds of progressive insurance professionals
together for an enriching experience like no other,” said IIABNY Senior
Vice-President Lisa Lounsbury. “Participants will connect with high-end
technology solution providers. They will also have the chance to converse with
experts on how to grow and protect their businesses. Our goal is for everyone
who attends to leave with new ideas that they can implement in their businesses
the next day.”
In other
sessions, popular insurance agency management system vendors Applied Client
Network and Vertafore will demonstrate new system features. Insurance
technology guru Steve Anderson will explain how technology can improve agency
sales culture, marketing cycles and systems. Insurance authority Kevin Amrhein
will present classes on using social media safely and insuring supply chains in
a time of volatile weather. Participants can also attend a hands-on workshop on
how to use the Trusted Choice® brand in advertising.
