The Tri-County Association presents the Bob Morris Award each year to recognize an individual for commitment to the association and furthering industry professionalism. The association said that it honored Lounsbury because she “has, through her unselfish dedication and commitment, performed valuable service for the betterment of her fellow agents and contributed to the furtherance of professionalism in our industry and our association.”
Lounsbury, who also serves as president of IIABNY’s membership services division IAAC, Inc., has been with IIABNY since 1999. She is responsible for all for-profit activities; member recruitment; the overall marketing direction of the association; and the day-to-day oversight of the association’s operations. In addition, she has served on several committees and subcommittees of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America. She was recently elected to the board of directors of the Big I Reinsurance Co., based in Alexandria, Virginia.
Prior to joining IIABNY, Lounsbury worked in several capacities for Great American Insurance in Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. She has been active in the Central New York Division of the March of Dimes, chairing the organization’s Signature Chefs Auction three times. She currently serves as a member of the Cazenovia Central School District Board of Education.
