This is your opportunity to join your fellow agents inface to face meetings with key elected officials and make the case for pro-consumer legislation.
Our issues will include:

• Producer licensing reform – combining agent and broker licenses into a single “producer" license
• Making it easier to obtain coverage in the excess market by eliminating the “diligent effort" requirement for commercial excess lines policies
• Reducing no-fault costs by imposing stricter penalties for criminals who orchestrate staged accidents
• Standing up for small businesses by opposing a disastrous expansion of the unfair business practices law
• Eliminating the useless and frustrating anti-arson application in NYC

You don't need to be an expert on politics or legislation! We'll brief you on the issues and provide talking points. All you need is to be willing to speak about your experiences an independent agent and a passion for helping your customers. An experienced volunteer or Big I NY staff member will accompany each meeting.

Meetings will take place between April 22nd and May 24th.
