January 2017 -- A Holiday E&O Tale
January 2017 |
Volume 28, Number 1 |
'Twas the night before an E&O deposition And all through the agency Everyone was running about In a state of emergency
The producer to be deposed Couldn’t muster a smile Because there was missing documentation In the agency’s file
The problem it seems Was that the documentation couldn’t be found To prove that the customer Requested his limits go down
The agency’s E&O policy deductible Was quickly disappearing Increased premiums on renewal The agency’s principals were all fearing
If the producer had followed The agency’s documentation procedures This stress and frustration Would not be here with us
As we have said over the years Good documentation is a must If it is in your file An E&O claim will go bust
So as you go through your day And deal with each situation Remember to document communications To help avoid E&O litigation
Doing so will not only Provide better customer service But will also protect the agency And help everyone be less nervous
So this holiday season Merry you should all be But never forget good E&O practices Will help an agency stay E&O free!
