Have Any Ideas What You Would Like Covered at 2014 Annual E&O Seminars?
Last year, we provided IIABNY members with an opportunity to let us know any issues, topics, questions or suggestions they wanted us to consider when we developed the outline for the association’s annual Errors & Omissions Loss Control seminars presented by Keidel, Weldon & Cunningham, LLC. Based upon the feedback we received then, we prepared the outline for the 2013 E&O seminars. Accordingly, once again, we request you send us any issues, topics, questions or suggestions you want us to consider as we prepare the outline for the 2014 seminars. We encourage you to share your ideas with us.
Usually, we start thinking about what we will do for the next year’s loss control seminars right after we finish presenting the seminars in late spring. Ordinarily, we prepare the outline for the annual E&O seminars by the beginning of December for the seminars we will present the following year. This timetable allows sufficient time for the seminar outline to be approved by the New York State Department of Financial Services and IIABNY to market the seminars to its members.
We encourage all IIABNY members to think about any items they would like us to consider including in the seminar outline for the 2014 annual E&O loss control seminars. Any issues, topics, questions or suggestions that you might relate to the seminars should be sent to me, Jim Keidel, by email at jkeidel@kwcllp.com, no later than Nov.1. Please be sure to type “2014 Annual E&O Seminars” (without the quote marks) in the subject line of the email. I will use the input I receive from IIABNY members in developing the outline for the 2014 seminars.
We believe the annual E&O seminars IIABNY presents are a very important loss control tool the association makes available to its members. The seminars are not presented in any other state, except New York. IIABNY’s annual E&O loss control seminars change yearly to address current issues and topics of concern, a key difference between those presented in other states. The constant change allows IIABNY members to keep current with important issues and topics, and it sets both IIABNY and its members apart from others when it comes to E&O loss control.
The dates have already been set for 2014. The live seminars will be presented as follows:
Buffalo – May 6, 2014 |
Long Island – May 20, 2014 |
Westchester County – May 22 |
Syracuse – May 7, 2014 |
New York City – May 21, 2014 |
|
The telecast seminar will be presented live on June 11, 2014 from a studio in the city of Troy and telecast to 13 remote locations across New York state. Mark these dates down in your calendar. Attendee registration will take place in early spring, after the course has been approved by the DFS.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your ideas with us. We look forward to your feedback and the 2014 annual E&O loss control seminars.
